‘Personally’~ I recommend circular knitting needles plus using a yarn in a (light color) also helps you see the stitches more easily so it’s obvious when you’ve made a mistake.

So start with inexpensive, synthetic yarns. Keep Practice and always be patient Get inspired, always try new techniques it helps to improve your skills.
